"Money is not free.
Time is free.
To understand the meaning of this quote, let me help with a non-fiction story;
I used to know a lady who was a professional in the business (now called "hook up" but then) called "aristo". Aristo is not really the word, but prostitution which means moving with aristos. She was doing it to earn herself money. Yeah! Money, which is very important in maintaining a good standard of living.
She had been doing the business before I knew her. I knew her in about eight years ago. She was one of the most classy ladies back then, in terms of material things and physical appearance.
About eight years is passed. And now, a radiant, gorgeous, beautiful, sexy, and classy lady of eight years ago is now the grotesque. Her flabby boobs is a signal to prospective suitors.
In the progression of time, she was earning money...Now, all ( body shape, boobs and glamour)she was using to get(buy) the money have expired. The free time she had to work or invest has been wasted.
Instead of wasting her time on earning money, she could have used the time to build what would fetch her not only money but also everlasting fulfillment.
The question now that you have understood the quote is, what are you using your time to buy?
