In learning how to build up your confidence, you must first learn how to successfully manage your own life and keep it in progression and not regression. When your life moves forward positively, it stirs up your confidence and you will want to move forward the more.
People who work in companies can tell how much effort it takes to develop and keep the company going. The CEO takes extra efforts to make sure the company does not lag behind. Take a view into your society, you will realize that companies which the CEOs are weak to manage well would refuse to develop.
Now, just view your life as a company and you as the CEO. Here are few important measures for the successful management of a company, you must also apply them to your life to be a successful manager of your own life.
The name of the company : Do your company have a name? Every company has a name that it is called by and it is known with and by that name. So, as the name of a company is it's Identity, so your name, I mean the one you give to yourself is your Identity which people will call you by. The name is determined by the CEO. If you're are the CEO of your life, what people call you is determined by you.
The CEO:How do you take your role as the CEO of your own life? Are you a successful leader of your life? How do you manage your company (your life)? Do you depend on the stakeholders (stakeholders of your life is God and other people that matters- parents, mentor, spouse, siblings and friends) for decision making? As the CEO of your life, you are expected to be at the center of decision making and control of all the departments of your Company. Being the CEO of your own life, you must be able to make reasonable and unregretted decisions.
The purpose of the Company: Do you have visions and missions for your company? I mean do you have visions and missions for life as the CEO? Simply your vision is your purpose of existence. Have you discovered this purpose or your company(life) is running for nothing. When you live your life without discovering your purpose, then your life is subjected to abuse. You must be able to discover and clearly define the purpose of your life as the CEO. Remember, when the purpose of a thing is not defined, abuse is inevitable.
Goals: Do you have goals? It will be hard for anyone who does not have purpose to set goals on nothing. It means you're pursuing nothing. A good Company has goals, short-term goals, long-term goals. If your company (life) is not running on or pursuing any goal, the company might soon be recked. Because, day in day out, things keep changing and a good company, so also individual is expected to improve with time so as not to lag behind. Set goals for your own life as the CEO, set daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals for your life and pursue with all seriousness.
Various Departments: How do you manage the various departments? Your life as a company has different departments, let me mention a few, Career, Social, Spiritual, Fun and Rest, Relationship, Financial, Wealth, Health,Emotional departments. Every of these departments need to be managed wholistically. The moment one of the departments is lagging behind, the whole of the company(your life) is affected. You see now that living a successful life is a great task, infact, managing success is difficult than managing failures. Therefore, your Career must not take over your Emotional department, hence it collapses the whole company, the same way you need to work, you also need to rest, you need to invest on your relationships, so also you need to do on career. Every department of your life must grow and be managed at a balanced level.
Values: What are your Values? Every successful companies have management values. Values defines a company the same way a man's personality value defines him. What are the values added to your life? What are the unique and good traits in your life? Values are what make people to respect your company (you), they believe you have the quality and give you kudos for it. It is not too late to remove all the bad traits in your life, you can still fuel good behaviours in your life, it's a sign that your company is really growing and not static. Here, you must place limitations and boundaries arround your life. If you must be successful as a CEO of your life, you don't say everything, you don't eat everything food anyhow, you're not found any and everywhere. You're restricted to do some things that people do, your life as the CEO must be camped by discipline as a way of placing value on yourself.
Size: How larger is your company? The rule here is, the larger the company, the longer the process of management. If you're so myopic about your company (life), if all you want to become is little, if where you want your company(life) to reach and be known is your state, then you have a little management process to lay hands on. Just have a mind view of the few companies that have gone far beyond their base continents, can you imagine the longer processes they go through to achieve that? Also, if you want your life(company) to go far as the CEO, you must understand this principle that "the process is a longer, if it will go far". Therefore, you don't need to compare yourself with any body. Some people's companies are small, so, they need just a little effort to get there. But you that are not running a small scale business must set yourself at work, work until you reach the peak of your life goals.
Investment: Have you ever thought of investing in and on your company (life)? Oh! You think those companies you see making it are making it by chance? No. As the CEO, you must understand the need for investment on and in your company(life) and that is your responsibility. Investment again needs prunning and discipline. Investing in your company(life) includes you attending conferences, spending time to read and not to be roaming around, meditating in your aloneness and Learning from people who have made it. Then you invest in yourself as a company by spending money to buy what you don't have. I don't mean like clothes or make-ups, I mean buying books, paying for training that will improve your life.
Leading a successful life is a big deal, just as running a successful company, that is why you as the CEO of your life need to take up the task and responsibility of managing your life in the best of your capacity. The more successful you become, the more confident you become.
