HOW READING IMPACTS YOU

Reading is a type or an aspect of Listening.( Listening is a conscious act, it is paying attention to what is been spoken or read and interpreting it in your own language).         Reading is a way of perceiving written symbol. The most active way of learning is Reading. When you are reading, you take letters,convert it to word, convert the words to sound,then convert it to vision. All of that you do while reading which is a way of tasking your brain and making it active. 

       Reading is a way of teaching yourself, it's like you are speaking to yourself, you are speaking and interpreting the mind of the author to yourself. The best way to learn is reading, because what you teach yourself and know by yourself is superior to whatever you are taught. You are teaching yourself when you are reading.

         Saddening, people in our societies, even students have shunned and neglected the best way to learn. No wonder we have a lot of unlearned(not talking of academic here) people leading us, they have not learnt how to lead through reading by themselves. Even we the followers do not know if they are doing it rightly or not, because we have locked up our minds against reading. We cherish the culture of listening to speech above the culture of reading, no wonder it is yet to be better.        Look well around you, people who are making it today are the readers, and if you want to make it tomorrow, you must also be a reader today.

         Ask me who does not need to read and I will tell you it's a man that has no destiny. Ask me again and I will tell you it's the dead. Because if you read to make a headway in life and you don't read to sustain your position, or move high, no doubt, you are coming down.

What can Reading do to you? I mean, how can reading impact you?

Reading good books have a lot of benefits, the few of them are;

#1. Reading Informs You

Truly, information can be gotten from other sources, but the truest way to draw information is through Reading. Reading informs you about who you are, who you can be, what you can become. It informs you about people in your environment, your society. Reading is the only way you can source information on how to live a perfect life all round. A reading man is always an informed man, remember if you are not informed, you will be deformed and if you are not informed, you can never perform well.

#2. Reading Makes You Wise

We have a lot of fools, I mean educated fools in our societies these days because they have refused to read. Don't ever think all the books you need to read is academic books, that is another way to make yourself a fine fool. If you studied medicine in school for instance, I believe there can never be  courses like, social relationship, marriage ,leadership training through out your years of studies. All of these you must know to be a successful Medical Practitioner, but they would never be taught in school. If you now think, it's not necessary because it was not taught in school, I bet it, you are digging your pit of failure. In essence, taking responsibility to read wide about life makes you wise. It makes you Know more than your mates.

#3. Reading Makes You Distinct

If you are a reading man, it will always show in your manners, it will show in how you manage issues and people. People sees you as a quite different person. You are distinct, because through reading, you have learned how to dress, talk, behave among people, manage people. If you want to lead your mates, adopt the reading culture, you will now realize how true it is when they say readers are leaders.  

#4. Reading Teaches You

The best way to enjoy teaching is reading. It teaches you every thing you need to know about life, is it about social relationship, how to love rightly, management? Everything man needs to know on earth in and outside school is what you can learn through reading. And when it is you doing the teaching you understand better.

#5. Reading Transforms Your Life

Transformation is a process of growing to become a better person. The more you read the better you become. The most effective transformational tool is reading. Reading daily processes you daily. Reading transforms you from the level of ignorance to being a wise person, reading transforms you in every facets of your life. Reading transforms you from the level of immaturity to maturity. 

The earlier you know this truth the better, reading takes you far above your mates and if you want to lead tomorrow, you must read today. That's the  basic Principle.
