FEAR, A DANGEROUS EMOTION

Fear is a kind of Emotions which is induced by percieved threat.
We are not talking of fear(out of reference) for someone or even phobia. Phobia might not spring up out of awareness of danger, it is basically lack of confidence. Therefore, the kind of fear we are talking about is a strong and unpleasant Emotion that stems from threat or awareness of danger.
For instance, the case of viruses spreading across the globe is threatening danger that push into the heart of majority and breed fear.
Fear is reaction to the percieved feeling of danger. The awareness of the danger of the spreading viruses is a big threat to many.
This also involves a kind of irrational fear, fear of the unknown- being afraid of the unseen future.
The most dangerous kind of Emotions to one's health is fear, fear kills faster than any disease. A fearful or timorous man is a living dead.
The dangers of fear includes premature death and health deficiencies like, loss of appetite, headache.
How can we counter fear?
One thing, the surest about fear is that, the awareness or the unawareness of who you are brings fear when danger comes. If you are aware that, you have power/control over the danger, you will be confident to face it with faith and strength. On the other hand, when you have the power and you don't know you have it, you are more afraid when danger threatens. Because you are not different from who does not have power at all. In essence, finding your identity in Christ gives you control over the Emotion Fear. Romans 8:15 says For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." When you are aware, and know of a surety  that you are a child of God, God of heaven is your Father, fear fades out.
As spiritual being, fear is more dangerous to your life, in that,it can hinder your relationship with God, if you allow it to capture you. That is, if you trend with fear and take away your affection from God your father, fear  takes over and rule your life. The word of God says in the book of Proverbs 29vs 25 that, "The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans on, trusts in, and puts his confidence in the Lord is safe and set on high." Meaning, relying on God with faith will safe man from fear.
However, fear can be overcome only by the spirit of God in us, the word of God and Faith in God.

THE MIRROR: IDENTITY AND SELFHOOD

Identity. It’s the essence of who you are—your personality, the core of your being. Selfhood, on the other hand, is the expression of that identity, the way you present yourself to the world. Think back to a time when you had to show your identity card. Do you remember the reaction of the person you handed it to? Likely, they nodded in approval, having seen all the necessary information about you on that card. Your identity, in that moment, was defined by the details captured on that small piece of plastic. But identity is more than just what's written on a card. It’s how you define yourself and how others perceive you. It’s the name you give yourself, the image you project, and the way people recognize you. Selfhood is often conveyed through three key aspects: - Dressing (Your Appearance) - Actions (What You Do and How You Do It) - Speech (The Words You Speak and How You Utter Them)  Dressing (Your Appearance) There’s a common saying: "Appearance shows the manner." Where...

The Greatest Goal

When the ball enters the net, they say it's a goal! And the loosing team feel defeated forgetting that they've got the greatest goal.  Same to a man who has all his goals lain down and strategically pulling his efforts towards the goal but to realize at the end that, his goals can't be achieved, for known or unknown reasons. He looses strength. At times, he can feel like it's over. But the truth remains that it's not over until it is over. He's got the greatest goal.       Really, a goal is the achievement toward which effort is directed. And billions are the "I want to", "by God's grace I will", "in fact, I must" in the speeches of every man, especially at the beginning of every matter, but strength wanes and the story changes maybe in the middle of the road. Because all efforts put towards the achievement of the goals seem to be less affective. The truth is, no man has control over whatever happens and will happen....
