The Best Way To Fight Against Poverty

Poverty simply means lack of basic necessities of life. It means being poor in a specific aspect. Meaning that, one could be poor financially (Financial Poverty), spiritually (Spiritual Poverty), intellectually (Intellectual Poverty), morally (Moral Poverty).

Appearantly, the major focus of the world is financial poverty. You are seen as being poor when you are broke. However, being broke is not the source nor the head of poverty. A man may be financially poor but intellectually, spiritually and morally rich. I often say it that, "money is not all man needs for life". So, if all you have or crave for is money, you are still a pauper.

Financial Poverty is one of the strongest tools of the devil to win people into his kingdom. It is so strong that, even the so called "annointed of the Lord" are falling into the devil's trap through the tool.

Our society, especially a country like Nigeria where majority of the citizens are subjected to financial poverty are of the believe that the major problem a man could encounter in life is lack of money. That is why we see many looking for money through all kinds of means, many of the youths are delving into all kinds of fraudulent activities, even some parents encourage their children to join the fraudsters. Thinking that, money alone would solve their problems.

Yes, money would solve so many problems, money would buy good foods, good shelter, good vehicles/airplane/jet, clothes, and everything materials! Money would make man live goodly. Money is good. But wait, that is not all life is about. Life is beyond its pleasure.

Money would give you a beautiful today and no hope for tomorrow. But, passionately pursuing your life purpose gives you an assurance of the best future. You live just for one thing, that is "the glory of God" (Your life purpose). If you live for this, your life and future is secured but if all you live for is the pursuit of money, you are handed over to death already. Because, the reason why death will fear to kill you is living in your purpose.

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. (Psalms 118:17-18). Like David who wrote this psalm, God will stand by you, He will not hand you over unto death and will give you wealth in abundance when you walk in your purpose.

Lack of money is indeed a problem but it is not as critical as lack of purpose/future. Lack of purpose irrespective of your financial state is like walking in darkness and without a direction.

A man who doesn't see poverty beyond lack of money does not have a tomorrow. The head and source of poverty is lack of purpose and lack of purpose begins with lack of relationship with God.

You need money to survive but you need to first get your priorities right. Clinging to God while He establishes you in your life purpose gives you an overflow of wealth in due season.

Many are distracted and discouraged from pursuing their lives purpose and started to pursue after money believing (foolishly) that, when money comes they will return to their purpose.

The reason why you are experiencing so much difficulties in that your work, ministry, career is for the devil to divert your attention into the pursuit of money. When you start to think that all you need is money, devil is already at your door post.

Don't believe his lies, don't chase after money while your life dream and purpose fade away. Your service and work in life is so much honourable in the sight of God in that your "broke" state and in due season, He himself will reward you with eternal wealth.

Therefore, the best way to fight against poverty is not to chase after money, but to passionately pursue your life purpose in the will of God.
Shalom!

THE MIRROR: IDENTITY AND SELFHOOD

Identity. It’s the essence of who you are—your personality, the core of your being. Selfhood, on the other hand, is the expression of that identity, the way you present yourself to the world. Think back to a time when you had to show your identity card. Do you remember the reaction of the person you handed it to? Likely, they nodded in approval, having seen all the necessary information about you on that card. Your identity, in that moment, was defined by the details captured on that small piece of plastic. But identity is more than just what's written on a card. It’s how you define yourself and how others perceive you. It’s the name you give yourself, the image you project, and the way people recognize you. Selfhood is often conveyed through three key aspects: - Dressing (Your Appearance) - Actions (What You Do and How You Do It) - Speech (The Words You Speak and How You Utter Them)  Dressing (Your Appearance) There’s a common saying: "Appearance shows the manner." Where...

The Greatest Goal

When the ball enters the net, they say it's a goal! And the loosing team feel defeated forgetting that they've got the greatest goal.  Same to a man who has all his goals lain down and strategically pulling his efforts towards the goal but to realize at the end that, his goals can't be achieved, for known or unknown reasons. He looses strength. At times, he can feel like it's over. But the truth remains that it's not over until it is over. He's got the greatest goal.       Really, a goal is the achievement toward which effort is directed. And billions are the "I want to", "by God's grace I will", "in fact, I must" in the speeches of every man, especially at the beginning of every matter, but strength wanes and the story changes maybe in the middle of the road. Because all efforts put towards the achievement of the goals seem to be less affective. The truth is, no man has control over whatever happens and will happen....
